The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an internationally recognized test of English language proficiency for non native English language speakers. 4 components are tested in the IELTS- reading, writing, speaking and listening. The scores are valid for 2 year duration.
The Pearson Test of English (PTE) is also a test of English language proficiency. It is a computer based test, usually for study abroad and immigration purposes.
